The Atomic Backland Carbon is an ultra-light touring shoe. Featuring all-mountain technologies, it is the model in the Backland range most suited to downhill riding.

The Atomic Backland Carbon model is the star of our Backland Series line. This is our shoe model best suited to descents, without sacrificing performance on the way up. The Frictionless Pivot system allows you to move as freely and comfortably as possible when climbing. The Free / Lock 4.0 ski/walk mechanism offers great maneuverability when going uphill and allows you to tighten the collar tightly for a smooth descent. The Boa® tightening system is both durable and precise to effortlessly ensure good support for the foot. The rigidity and control that its Carbon Spine structure gives you is accompanied by a progressive flexion comparable to that of our Hawx Prime 110 S. Once you reach the bottom, all you want to do is go back up !

**Backland shoes are only compatible with TLT style touring bindings that use traditional toe and heel pins.  Backland shoes are not compatible with hybrid touring bindings, such as Shift MNC 10 and 13.**
