DESCRIPTION
GEL 160 is a concentrated solution of carbohydrates encapsulated in a biopolymer matrix. It consists of a unique blend of glucose and fructose (0.8:1 ratio) which allows you to absorb up to 100 grams of carbohydrates per hour. It is the first energy gel in the world developed using hydrogel technology. It contains six natural ingredients and contains no coloring or preservatives. It comes in 65g servings and contains 60% carbs (40g carbs per serving). Can be used before, during and/or after activity.
Gel 100 and Gel 160 use the same patented Maurten Hydrogel technology with the same ratio of fructose and glucose — 0.8 : 1. Gel 100 contains 25 grams of carbohydrates and Gel 160 contains 40 grams. Both sizes are interchangeable, depending on the training or racing situation. It’s a system that allows athletes to refine their fueling strategy.

Recent scientific research has shown that the ratio of glucose and fructose of 0.8:1 allows for even greater absorption - up to 100 grams per hour.
