    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Le Coureur boutique team is looking for someone passionate about sports and sports clothing to take over during parental leave.

    The Clothing Buyer and Merchandising Manager's mission is to select clothing according to the latest trends that will appeal to consumers, manage inventory and optimize the purchasing experience for customers . Responsibilities for the position include ensuring the clothing assortment meets customer expectations and maximizing the profitability of the clothing section.

    SUMMARY OF DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE POSITION:

      Order management

      • Place regular orders based on market trends and store needs;
      • Follow clothing trends in the world of sport and make purchases according to them;
      • Coordinate special orders with suppliers;
      • Plan and carry out visits to suppliers to learn about their new collections and assess their potential;
      • Maintain excellent relationships with suppliers to maintain partnerships;
      • Monitor supplier performance and see to the development of new partnerships.
      • Participate in trade shows and other industry events to stay up to date on the latest trends;
      • Ensure the link with suppliers in the event of errors in orders.

      Inventory management

      • Monitor inventory levels and adjust orders accordingly;
      • Evaluate the products received to ensure their quality;
      • Perform regular analysis of sales and item performance to adjust stock levels to order;
      • Ensure optimal stock rotation taking into account seasonal changes and trends.

      Reporting and communication

      • Analyze customer purchasing behavior by carrying out regular reconnaissance;
      • Collaborate with general management to promote strategic decision-making related to their position.

      Visual presentation

      • Optimize the visual presentation of products to make everything attractive;
      • Analyze customer purchasing behavior by carrying out regular reconnaissance;
      • Work in collaboration with the community and social media manager to create posters for the store (e.g.: promotional poster, new arrivals, etc.).

      Training and events

      • Participate in training new employees regarding boutique clothing and associated sales techniques;
      • Monitor store members' knowledge of new trends and product features;
      • Ensure that store team members are aware of new arrivals;

      Customer service

      • Assist customers with their in-store purchases;
      • Provide specialist product advice;
      • Write personalized emails in response to customer requests;
      • Actively participate in retail sales and achieve sales objectives;
      DIPLOMAS / EXPERIENCE
      • Have a college diploma in fashion marketing or an administrative field
      • Accumulate 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role
      • Experience in purchasing and merchandising

      SKILLS DESIRED

      • Ability to analyze sales data and interpret market trends;
      • Knowledge of current trends in the fashion world;
      • Ability to use purchasing management software, databases and analysis tools;
      • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
      • Knowledge of Lightspeed POS (an asset);
      • Interest in the world of sport.

      POSITION CONDITION / BENEFITS THE RUNNER

      • Replacement of parental leave from mid-July 2024 to September 1st 2025
